The Value of Small Gifts

I love giving small gifts. I do it all year round. Every once in a while, I like to send something small to certain people so we don't become strangers.

The perfect small gift is uncomplicated. It's unexpected but not surprising, and it says more about me than the person who receives it. It basically just says, "Hi."

My Christmas ornaments are exactly this kind of gift. So when I design, I'm thinking about the person who wants to share a little bit of themselves with someone else.

That's actually why I studied design in the first place. I thought (and still think) that connections between people are best when they're simple.

I believe in a trajectory of value. I think that a product is good if it becomes more valuable through exchange. My customers elevate my work's worth through their excitement to share it with their family and friends.

It's wonderful to experience. It's the pure joy of gift-giving.

I love it.

Cheers,
